Detention
For a detention themed Book Club Radio party, I leaned fully into that chaotic, rebellious energy. I molded and carved a solid panel of wood into the shape of a corset, then covered it in etched graffiti like a school desk after hours in detention: names, symbols, little acts of quiet defiance. To push it further, I made a pair of “fuck you” pants, hand-painting the phrase over and over in different sizes, colors, and fonts until it felt loud and impossible to ignore. Throughout the night, I let other people add their own marks to them, turning the piece into a living, collective outburst.
